Embassy of Japan in Kyrgyz Republic had been decided to transfer four ambulances with medical equipment produced in Japan to Family Medicine Centers of Kemin and Aksuu and PF “Rescue in the mountains” in the grant scheme of Japanese government’s Grassroots Human Security Projects

Embassy of Japan in Kyrgyz Republic decided to refer 4 ambulances with medical equipment before the official ceremony handover of ambulances to grantees. Such a decision was taken due to the complex epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan in the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the grant-contract signed between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic Yoshihiro Yamamura and President of Public Foundation “Rescue in the mountains” Phd Vladimir Komissarov on March 1, 2019, ambulance TOYOTA HIACE, 2004 production year with medical equipment (main and scoop stretchers, oxygen cylinders in set with tubes and masks, pressure and oxygen regulators) was donated to Family Medicine Center of Kemin Region;  ambulance

TOYOTA HIACE, 2008 p. y. with medical equipment (main and scoop stretchers, oxygen cylinders in set with tubes and masks, pressure and oxygen regulators) was donated to Family Medicine Center in Aksuu Village and 2 ambulances TOYOTA HIACE, 2009 p. y. equipped with spare tires, extrication device and medical equipment (main and scoop stretchers, oxygen cylinders in set with tubes and masks, pressure and oxygen regulators) were donated to Public Foundation “Rescue in the mountains”. Total grant amount is USD 96 171.

The project included training for ambulance drivers of Aksuu and Kemin FMC and for the foundation’s drivers. It was successfully held in November 2019 in Bishkek. All 11 drivers have successfully completed the training and have been certified by the Society for Promotion of Japanese Diplomacy.

according to the “Ambulance Project for the Kyrgyz Republic”

March 1, 2019 (Friday) at 14:00 at the Embassy of Japan in the Kyrgyz Republic, the signing ceremony of the grant contract for the “Project for the provision of ambulances for the Kyrgyz Republic” was held as part of the Japanese Government’s grant program “Grass Roots and Human Security”. The grant contract was signed between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Yoshihiro Yamamura, and the President of the Public Rescue in the Mountains Mr. Vladimir KOMISSAROV. Within the framework of the project “On the provision of ambulances for the Kyrgyz Republic” PF “Salvation in the mountains”, the Keminsky district center of family medicine and the Ak-Suy district center of family medicine will receive 4 units of ambulances with appropriate equipment for a total amount of 96,171 US dollars .
The grant program “Grass Roots and Human Security” has been implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic since 1996. It is aimed at solving the problem of basic human needs (Basic Human Needs) with the efforts of local authorities, primary health care institutions, primary education, non-governmental organizations, etc. During this time, 146 projects were implemented in Kyrgyzstan in the framework of this program for a total of 9 966 306 US dollars.
